Aside from weekly Youth Group, there are many times during the year when we will connect with children and youth through a variety of special interest activities.

The Lent Event: The Legend of the Pretzel

Wednesday, March 21st: 4pm - 5pm

Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church

Open to children and youth of all ages.  Children 4 years and younger should have a caregiver stay with them to help.

Join us after school on Wednesday to learn about the history of the pretzel and how it became a traditional Lenten treat.  We will bake pretzels to eat as well as play pretzel games and create a pretzel craft.

If your child has food allergies, please connect with Julia (youthatfirst@rogers.com) and we will ensure that your child's allergy is not a barrier in their participation!

Youth Group

Weekly: Friday Evenings from 7 - 9pm

Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church

Open to any youth who are in grades 6 through 12.

Youth Group provides an important social connection between peers.  First Presbyterian Church's Youth Group is a fun, relaxed and safe environment for pre-teens and teens to enjoy a Friday night out.   Our evenings begin with snacks and conversation.  We play games, sing and have a great time together.

Canada Youth

Stirred Not Shaken:  July 2 - 7, 2018

Canada Youth is an opportunity for High School Students and Young Adults to connect with other Presbyterians of the same age from across Canada.

Held at Brock Univeristy in St. Catharines, this week long event provides youth with a vibrant retreat filled with music and worship, with vibrant speakers and workshops and an opportunity to connect with other youth from outside their church.

If your First Pres youth is interested in attending Canada Youth, please contact Julia Sheffield to make arrangements.  First Presbyterian Church will sponsor the registration cost for youth from our church who are attending this event.
