WE GATHER

Prelude

Welcome and Announcements

Sharing the Peace of Christ

Gathering Praise        “The Power of Your Love”

Lord, I come to You, let my heart be changed, renewed,

Flowing from the grace that I've found in You.

And Lord, I've come to know the weaknesses I see in me

will be stripped away by the pow'r of Your love.

Chorus:       Hold me close, let Your love surround me;

                     Bring me near, draw me to Your side.

                     And as I wait, I'll rise up like the eagle and I will soar with You,

                     Your Spirit leads me on in the pow'r of Your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes, let me see You face to face,

The knowledge of Your love as You live in me.

Lord, renew my mind, as Your will unfolds in my life,

In living ev'ry day in the pow'r of Your love.  Chorus.

TO RESPOND IN FAITH

Hymn                          “Ancient Words

Holy words long preserved for our walk in this world;

They resound with God’s own heart, O, let the ancient words impart;

Words of life, words of hope, give us strength, help us cope;

In this world where-’er we roam, ancient words will guide us home.

Chorus:  Ancient words, ever true, changing me, changing you;

              We have come with open hearts, O let the ancient words impart.

Holy words of our faith handed down to this age,

Came to us through sacrifice; O, heed the faithful words of Christ;

Holy words long preserved for our walk in this world;

They resound with God’s own heart; O, let the ancient words impart.

CHURCH SCHOOL UPDATE

This morning the children enjoyed their time together with Anna leading.  They had a great time learning more of God’s love for them through a story, song, snack and activities.  Ask your child(ren) what they learned from the story this morning.

PRAISE THE LORD!!  God has provided some awesome teachers, leaders and helpers, once again to help out in our Christian Education ministry.  Kathy

Thompson, our Children & Worship leader, is still looking for helpers.  Students would be great greeters/helpers & it’s a rewarding way to earn your community hours.  Call her at 446-0428.  She would love to hear from you!

Next week will be our Rally Day kick off. Rocky the clown will be here!!  Come celebrate with us.  We have fun, games, activities & songs planned for

kids of all ages.  We’ll even have our hot dogs again following the 10:30am service.

Army Food Bank.  Thanks for your generosity!

Rwandan Holocaust, Rwandan author, Imaculee Ilibagiza shares her survival story and her soul’s struggle through disbelief to anger and rage, and ultimately, forgiveness…humankind’s depravity counterbalanced by hope in an all-powerful God.  Our Book club will soon be reading her later book, Led by Faith.
