Tuesday, February 14 - our Next Jr. High night is at 7pm here at the church.

Our Sr. High Winter retreat is coming up quick, February 24-26 at Crieff Hills…if your teen is planning to attend, please speak with Sean Angel so he can arrange appropriate transportation. Please register online by visiting www.cyfm.ca/SYNERGY and follow the instructions to register.

Family Fun Night - Our next one is on Friday, February 17th from 6:30-9:00pm here at the church. We will be having a potluck dinner and a great movie for the children.  It’s going to be a good night, so come on out.
CHURCH SCHOOL UPDATE

This week in Children and Worship our children will learn about “The Leaven.”  In Treasure Land our 2/3 students will be taught about “Real Power,” our 4/5 class will discuss “What Jesus Did for Me.” Also in our
6-8 class, our children will be debating the question “Why do Christians believe Christianity is the best religion?”

VACATION BIBLE CAMP

Mark your calendars – Vacation Bible Camp is coming up quickly. The dates for VBC this year are July 23-27, 2012. As always we will need many volunteers to help share God’s love with the children this year.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES


Week of February 6th – February 11th
February 6th –  A Tale of Two Brothers Rob Henderson will lead a Bible study based on the parable of the prodigal son. These studies will take place Monday evenings at the church, beginning at 7pm.

February 7th
–  Ladies' Bible Study- meets in the Conference Room at 10am. Leader: Lillian Wright: 705.444.1210

February 7th –  Doing Life Together,  Developing Your Shape to Serve Others Rev. Tim will lead this study/discussion group, which will help you develop your God-given design at home, work, church, and in your community in a way that extends God's love to others and enriches your own life immeasurably. They will take place on Tuesday evenings at the church, beginning at 7pm.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

Sat, February 11 th
–  Grains of Sand Concert to raise funds for the Food Bank will be in the Sanctuary at 8 pm. Monetary donations and food donations will be received towards the Food Bank.

February 19th  Communion Sunday. We are having a potluck lunch immediately following the 10:30am service in the Lower Hall. Those families with the last name beginning with A-M please bring sandwiches. Those with last names beginning with N-Z please bring squares/cookies.

Thursday is Choir day at First Presbyterian Church
